Accidental Insurance

Life insurance that is paid only if the insured's death is as a result of an accident.

Accident Insurance provides worldwide coverage you or your entire family—adults and children—24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It's an ideal complement to your group insurance coverage.

Who Should Consider Accident Insurance?
  • Parents to increase their group insurance coverage

  • College and university graduates who are no longer covered by the group insurance plans of their parents and do not yet have access to an employer’s plan

  • Retirees. Accident Insurance can include hospitalization and convalescence benefits, as well as reimbursement of the service fees or treatments of various specialists (physiotherapists, podiatrists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, home-care nurses, etc.)

  • Parents of newborns as he or she embarks on a new life

Features and Advantages
  • Plan provides worldwide 24-hour-a-day coverage to your entire family, 365 days a year, in the event of an accident

  • It reimburses certain fees that aren't covered (or are only partially covered) by your group insurance plan

  • There is no medical questionnaire or medical examination. You and your family, who reside permanently in Canada, are automatically eligible (between the 15th day of life and the age of 75 years)

  • You can choose how long you need protection and be protected against future rate increases

  • You receive a 10% reduction if you insure four or more persons under the same contract, based on the same option and term

  • The plan can insure your newborn free of charge from the 15th day of life during the contract protection period

Options Offered

Two types of coverage are available:

  • the basic option

  • the maximum option, which quadruples your benefits in the event of accidental death, dismemberment, loss of use, and fracture
